Attractions and activities we recommend:

Scenic flight’s to Milford Sound taking you over the Mount Aspiring National Park.

The Siberia Wilderness Adventure
This involves a scenic helicopter flight, valley walk and jet boat ride. There is the option to just experience the jet boat part of the adventure. This portion takes about 1hr.

Local walks
A walk up ‘Mount Iron’ gives you panoramic views and an overall perspective of the Wanaka area. The ‘Outlet Track’ can be accessed from the end of our garden.

Mt Aspiring National Park Walk’s
Embrace the joy of a Southern New Zealand mountain valley with a leisurely stroll. There are numerous and varied walks. However, our pick is the Rob Roy Track. It involves a very scenic 55km car ride to the beginning of the track and a 4hr return tramp.

Snow Park (5,200ft)
Even without snow in summer, you experience a different world with breathtaking views across the Southern Alps.

Vineyards
The region boasts more than 70 vineyards. Although Pinot Noir is the regions most famous grape there are also Chardonnays, Sauvignons, Rieslings and Pinot Gris. There are a number of very good Wine Trail options, however we suggest ‘The Big Picture’ as an informative introduction to the regions wines. It also has a restaurant and cafe offering Local and Mediterranean food.

Skiing
In addition to the Snow Park there are two other fields within a 35 minute drive of Wanaka. Treble Cone, for the more advanced skier and Cardrona  for beginners.
